parkrun
Save this itemparkruns are free, weekly, community events that take place all around the world. Saturday morning events are 5k and take place in parks and open spaces. On Sunday mornings, there are 2k junior parkruns for children aged four to 14.
In Kent we have 24 5k parkruns and 13 junior parkruns. The events offer a positive, welcoming and inclusive experience where there is no time limit and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along, whether you walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate.
parkrun offers a completely inclusive experience where everyone is welcome no matter your physical level of fitness, so whether you are walking with a friend while have a catch-up, or if you’re looking to achieve that illusive PB, parkrun is perfect for you.
parkrun also offers amazing opportunities to be part of the wider community by simply spectating and encouraging the participants as they make their way round the course, or by going that extra mile and volunteering to help run the events by marking out the courses, marshalling or assisting at the finish line.
