Changing pace poster

Changing Pace is a sociable group that focuses on both mental and physical wellbeing, offering a mix of walking, jogging, and yoga sessions.

The aim of Changing Pace is to promote movement for better mental health. Physical activity positively impacts mental wellbeing by allowing participants to get outside, connect with like-minded people, find purpose, and boost self-esteem.

Running Groups:

    • Each course runs for nine weeks.
    • Participants engage in a group run/walk once a week.
    • Additionally, there are suggested two further sessions per week for individual practice.
    • The program follows the Couch to 5k approach, aiming to reach a 5k distance by the end of the course.

Yoga Groups:

    • Yoga sessions are a mix of online and in-person classes.
    • The seated yoga class focuses on gentle movement and stretching.
    • Participants can use a chair as a prop during the session or remain seated.
    • The aim is to mobilize all joints, keeping participants feeling fully mobile and stretched.
