TW Flyerz
Tunbridge Wells Hockey Club is proud to have been the first club in Kent to launch a Flyerz program for pan disability hockey. TW Flyerz has grown significantly and successfully since its launch in 2017, gaining awards and press coverage at local and national level. RTW Monson Swimming Club
RTW Monson operates out of a variety of pools around Tunbridge Wells and supports swimmers of all abilities. Their disabled swimmers are fully integrated with the rest of their membership rather than being put into a separate squad. Mariners of Bewl
Mariners of Bewl is a sailing club where people with physical impairments and non-disabled sail together on an equal basis. Paddock Wood Pan Disability Football
The Paddock Wood Pan Disability Football Club is open to footballers of all ages and abilities. The coaches believe that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy “the beautiful game”.
Sessions take place indoors at Putlands Sports Centre and follow a regular pattern that the youngsters become used to. It’s all about reinforcing their ball skills and building confidence and fitness, but most of all, it’s about having fun! Every session ends with a game. Paddock Wood Bowls Club
Paddock Wood Bowls Club are proud to say they have the facilities and coaching support to welcome bowlers who have a disability. The club is based next to Putlands Sports Centre and has an artificial green which can be used all year round. This also means it can be accessed by wheelchairs via a ramp. Tubslake Shooting Club
Based at Hawkhurst in a purpose-built shooting range, this club has specially adapted air guns for visually impaired members to use. These guns have sights that create a sound in earphones worn by the shooter. The sound becomes higher in pitch as the rifle nears the bull, and the shooter fires when the sound reaches its highest peak. For more information, please visit the link below:
Paracise in Cranbrook
Paracise is a low impact, fun class, set to music. It was especially developed for people with health concerns such as muscle degeneration, low bone density, chronic pain, or recent injuries. The 45 minute classes are on Monday afternoon’s from 16.15 at Weald Sports Centre, Cranbrook, TN17 2PN.
