The route starts at the underpass which takes you from the town centre, under the A229 and onto the Medway Towpath. Turn right and follow the river path north as it tracks alongside the A229, eventually passing the Gallagher Stadium, where a bridge on your left-hand side take you across the river and into Whatman Park. Turn right after crossing the bridge and complete a loop of the park before walking back across the bridge, and returning to the river path, heading back towards the town centre.
